Essence - Space Queen (over Catrice - It's Rambo No.5)

I liked how Catrice It's Rambo No.5 looked on it's own, but I decided to add some glitter over it. I choosed Essence Space Queen from the Colour & Go line.
Space Queen is a sheer pale pink base packed with a lot of small iridescent hexagonal glitter. I applied one coat, no top coat. Drying time was ok.
What do you think of this combo?

Catrice - It's Rambo No.5

Today my blog turns 1 year old (even if my first post was published one day later :)  ).

And for today I have swatches of my first Catrice nail polish. It's called It's Rambo No.5 (what a cool name :D) and it is a khaki creme. This nail polish applied easily and had a quick drying time.
On my photos you can see 2 coats of It's Rambo No.5, no top coat.

Thank you for reading and have a nice weekend! :)

KKCenterHK Stamping Plate Review (SPPMB06)

Hi girls!
I'm sorry I had to remove my blogroll for a while because of the malware problems on some blogs :(.
Ok, here is N.NAIL - SPPMB06. It is the second stamping plate that I've got from KKCenterHK for review.
It came in the same blue packaging as the previous one.
The designes on this plate just screamed for a blue base :). I used Avon Blue Shock and stamped using L'ambre Noir some black nail polish. The designes transfered well, but I should wait longer before applying a top coat.

Go Ukraine! (:

My today's manicure is dedicated to Ukrainian national football team, that will play against England today. To qualify to the quarter-final Ukraine needs only to win today.
So here is another yellow/blue manicure to show you :).
This time I decided to make my first gradient. Nail polishes I used: Maybelline Party Blue and Avon Sunshine.
I'm not quite satisfied with the result. In the middle of each nail, where the colors mixed, the yellow/blue combination turned into green (I knew this might happen, but hoped that it will not :D ). Also maybe it's the fault of the polishes or it's all my fault (I had to sponge 3 times for opacity), but my gradient turned out too gritty. A layer of top coat didn't make it smooth enough.
Anyway, here're the photos :).

And here are a few photos that was made last weekend when I went to my country house. On the first photo you can see how does my town looks from the balcony of my country house. And a sunset on the second photo :).

KKCenterHK Stamping Plate Review (SPPMB34)

KKCenterHK offered me to try another their products. I choosed 2 stamping plates and today I want to show you one of them N.NAIL - SPPMB34.
KKCenterHK also sent me a scraper and a stamp.
As a base I used Essence Don't Bite Me - Kiss Me. And stamped using n.6 Beauty Experience Nail Fashion Color nail polish.
I wanted to do a sparkly manicure, so I stamped stars on my index, middle and pinkie, and a diamond on my ring finger. The designes transfered good, but don't forget to take off a protective film before using a plate at the first time :).

This was only my third attempt at stamping at all and for the first time I'm showing it on my blog :">.

Ukraine lost to France, so I'm not in the best mood right now. Maybe I should really make another yellow/blue mani for the next game? :D
I'm going to the country house for the weekend.
Wish everyone a fun weekend!

Essence - Blue Addicted (over Kiko #266)

Kiko #266 looked like a perfect base for Essence Blue Addicted from the Colour & Go line.
Of course, I could wear Blue Addicted alone, but then I'd need 2-3 coats. And over Kiko #266 I applied only one coat + top coat.
Blue Addicted is a blue jelly base packed with a big blue and green hex glitter and a small blue glitter.
No more words, I just love this nail polish :).

Kiko #266 (Blu Oltremare)

For a long time I was searching for a polish like this one. I even had one "miss", if you remember my Ноготок (Nogotok) Reflex #175, which got bubbly almost like a bubble bath :D.

Kiko #266 (Blu Oltremare) is a perfect blue shimmer for me. Seriously, I love everything about it. The application, the formula and a quick drying time.
On my photos you can see 2 coats of Kiko #266, no top coat. In RL it looks even more gorgeous. This vivid blue shimmer sparkles in the sunlight like crazy and the polish looks incredibly glossy <3.

So Ukrainian team played it's first game on the EURO 2012 yesterday. Ukraine was playing against Sweden and won 2:1. And when Ukrainian team scored the second goal, TV operators catched such a cute moment, just take a look :).
Such emotions are priceless :).

EURO 2012 Ukraine

As you know (at least European girls may know :) ) now it's time for football Championship of Europe.
Of course, I support my national team and today Ukraine will play it's first game in the tournament. That's why I decided to make Ukrainian flag inspired manicure.
What first came to my mind was a tape mani. In RL the stripes on the flag are horisontal, but on my nails I wanted to make them diagonal :).
I know that I did a lot mistakes while doing this manicure and I even was ashamed to show it to you... But I'm still showing :D.
First I wanted to paint my nails with yellow nail polish, let it dry, then with the help of a scotch tape to paint half of the nail in a blue color. But I realized that I own only one yellow nail polish - Avon Sunshine which is kinda streaky and have a slow drying time. So I decided to paint my nails with a blue first (I used KIKO #385) and to apply Sunshine over it. And here comes the mistake. Even if drying time of KIKO #385 was quick, I didn't wait enough before applying a scotch tape. So when I pulled a scotch tape away, it smudged KIKO a bit. Plus to cover blue polish with yellow I needed 3 coats of Avon Sunshine. And here comes another mistake. I didn't wait enough before removing a scotch tape and that's why the lines between the colors aren't really straight :">.
At the end I added a layer of top coat.
This was my second attempt at doing a tape mani (the first one was pretty much the same - diagonal lines, but I used black and white colors. By the way, that mani was also football inspired :) ). But I have to say that my first attempt turned much better (unfortunately, I don't have photos to show you). Maybe I had more patience that time :).
I'm not satisfied with the final result, but I hope this mani looks at least patriotic :).
I wanted to make photo with some symbol of the EURO (by the way this EURO 2012 is hosted in Ukraine together with Poland :) ). But I had only a glass with the EURO 2012 logo, that I've won at coca-cola's promo. I hope, that you can see the logo on the glass :).

P.S. Some time ago I won Maria's contest (Maria's blog - Marias Nail Art and Polish Blog) and today I received the prize :). Maria let me choose the polish from the list and I choosed China Glaze Rich And Famous.
Maria was so kind and also included some rhinestones, tip guides for french manis and cute toe separators into the package :).
Thank you, dear Maria, one more time! :)

Kiko #231 (Multicolour Paillettes Sparkle Touch) (over Essence - Midnight Rocker)

In my latest post, when I showed Essence Midnight Rocker, Rainbowify Me commented that she'd put a glitter on it and, actually, I had the same thought :D.
I choosed Kiko #231 (Multicolour Paillettes Sparkle Touch). It's a clear base with lots of different sized glitters: large orange/yellow hex, medium sized turquoise hex and small glitter that sparkles blue and green.
So, I applied 1 coat of Kiko #231 over 2 coats of Essence Midnight Rocker and finished the manicure with a layer of top coat. And here is the result :).
Have a good day! :)

Essence - Midnight Rocker

Today I want to show you Essence Midnight Rocker from the Multi Dimension line.
Midnight Rocker is a dark blue (almost black) creme nail polish.
It applied easily and had a quick drying time. I made 2 coats, no top coat and only look how glossy it is :).
It's a pity that the Multi Dimension line is already discontinued.
Thank you for reading and have a nice evening! :)
